I'm a broadcast journalism student. I like to blog. I need to blog. So here it is.

Hopefully it provides some kind of through the keyhole look in to what life as a regular, hard up student entails, and a lot of other irrelevant thoughts.

I hope you enjoy!

Proud to be English today!

Didn’t realise i was patriotic in any way, but it’s 9am and i’ve already had to stop myself welling up! Especially when they announced Prince William and Kate Middleton will become the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge…I’m a Cambridge girl!

This looks just like somewhere i visited in the south of France when we stayed in frejus. Can’t for the life of me remember where it was…perhaps St. Tropez? I even recognise the little cafe on the left hand side as you go over the bridge. Could be anywhere though - my geography skills aren’t up to scratch.

My university dissertation

is a radio project on Youth Unemployment in England. I’ve conducted lots of research and after speaking to two people during my interviews, i’ve really realised just how big an issue it is. I think it’s something that’s much more complex and devastating than most people realise, including myself. I hope that if i cover the topic well enough i may be able to - one day in the near future - broadcast it in the hope of raising  awareness of the situation and help others to understand what these people are going through, through no fault of their own.
